So sad reading the mother's latest post. Devastating. Can't imagine.

so sad but I agree with your OP…she fought hard and her family can always rely on that fact that their girl was a fighter. life is better measured in those intense periods where your mettle is tested than in the sheer number of days you keep breathing.

Her two twin brothers are in the same day care class as my son. It was heart breaking to hear my son come home and say they were not in class because their sissy went to heaven.

I'm praying for her family. I would like them to know that their daughter was an inspiration to many, and that although their loss is immeasurable, so was the contribution she made to our community. She was an example to others, particularly children, who watched her battle and fight with great courage and optimism.
My daughter of the same age came in at 6 am this morning to tell me about this. I held her hand and talked to her about the importance of Love, and the need to live each day as if it is the last.
RIP, sweet beautiful child.

Very special family and young girl. Our family was very close to theirs as our son is also treating at St. Jude and was diagnosed around the same time as Brea. We saw them last week when we were up in Memphis for treatment. St. Jude is an amazing place and, as a beneficiary, I can promise everyone there is no better place on earth to give your money. They treat the patient and the entire family. So many families from Louisiana are treated there. Sometimes it looks like an LSU tailgate with so much purple and gold being worn.

It was really hard to read. I don't even have children yet, but I can't even fathom how hard saying goodbye to one must be.
