Horrible Bosses/Job Stories.

I'm sure we all have had both, as they kinda can go hand in hand. I've included both for that reason. Like alot of people I definitely had a few horrible bosses and I've had countless crazy job stories. So long story short, my worse job was working for a particular Burger King. Now it was just one in particular as I actually had previously worked there before and I actually had a really good time. Anyway, during this Burger King stint, I worked for a boss who would actually tried having not only uniform inspections but car inspections. This guy would literally carry around a white glove! He also would try to write you up for the dumbest offences. He once tried to write me up for sneezing ?? I even covered my nose! He said it was too loud and so I was distracting the customers. Anyway we put up with the guy for five damn years!????. As for the crazy job story part! He quits to run off and join the circus! So folks you have any interesting stories?

You sound like you still work at a Burger King.

When I was a freshman in high school, I spent a Summer working for an environmental clean up company. My job consisted of standing on a giant dirt mound with no shade, busting dirt clods over a bar then shoveling the loose dirt onto a conveyor belt for 3$ an hour. I can assure you that there isn’t much worse than 98 degree heat and 80% humidity. If there is a worse job out there, I would love to see it. I was the only non convict, or non drug addict there

I'm more interested in the story of why you had to work at a Burger King for 5 years.

What does a car inspection have to do with Burger King?

Went on a job interview one time where the guy had his lunch delivered during the interview. He ate in front of me and didn't offer me so much as a soda.
He offered me the job. I'll told him to pound sand.

Worst job- Senior year of high school(96) I got a job working at a very small, locally owned grocery store out in the middle of nowhere. I was to be paid $25 per day for a 7 hour shift. I went to school half days and my mom brought me to work at noon during her lunch break. First day on the job, it's December and cold as shite. I was supposed to be working in the store so I had a jacket but no hat, gloves, cold weather gear, etc. and the owner decides he doesn't need me to work in the store and has me cutting bait for their side business running crawfish traps.
So, I'm outside under this overhang cutting bait, no gloves, no hat, freezing my arse off. I go inside to warm up and the owner asks what I'm doing inside. His wife eventually grabs a pair of gloves of the shelf and hands them to me. They expected me to cut a bucket of bait per hour but after my 7 hour shift(no breaks), I only cut 3. The light above me fell and broke and the owner told me to come inside, call my mom and clean up. The dude hands me $13 and tells me I had to pay for my gloves and for the light that broke. But before I left, I needed to go bring in the buckets of bait that I finished.
I went outside, knocked over all the buckets and left. Never went back.
Worst boss- Manager named Will when I worked at a vitamin mixing plant. He was 48 but looked 78. Dude had no spine whatsoever and could not even greet you with a "hello". Everything was work, work, work.
The CEO ended up cutting all overtime since people were abusing it and Will came up to me and asked if I was willing to come in on a Saturday to help catch up. I told him I could and asked if OT was back and he said it wasn't. He said just to come in and not get paid for it. I told him absolutely not and he said I wasn't a "team player". No one else volunteered to come in so he came in by himself, didn't clock in and worked a 14 hour shift.

The summer before college I was a do everything guy for a marina on the Red River. I stocked the shelves, fueled boats, weed-eated, and generally anything they needed me to do. My bosses were some older bikers who were drunk 90% of the time. Once my boss pissed off the trash pick up service and they stopped coming. Then they threw a huge crawfish boil. Bc the dumpsters were full all trash went into a dump truck. Eventually he payed his bill and handed me a shovel to get all the trash out the dump truck. It had been sitting out in the summer sun for a week. I should have just left, but I got back there and started. It’s still the grossest job I’ve ever done, and my dad was a plumber that I helped on big jobs. The whole time I was shoveling he was drinking and bitching that nothing else was getting done. As I was finishing the cops showed up to pick him up bc he didn’t have a liquor license for the crawfish boil or convenient store.
