A masterclass of full command of ones’s adversary. The French were outclassed completely and without naval support, thanks to Nelson, surrendered in North Africa to the Brits. Brits in a boat with guns = run, sail, row, fly away as fast as possible.

YouTube battle of the Nile

Great quotes and impact on everything in the Nepolianic era in that video.

Nope. He never got his arse kicked and then blamed it all on everyone else then tried to deny honors to those who suffered for his messes.

How was London?

Haven’t been since Covid and was a little apprehensive pushing for a return trip given how it’s been presented recently.

He fought for the empire instead of boycotting and speaking out against the horrors of colonialism. He’s just as bad as Hitler.

London was great. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it.

London is great and this is a great museum. Somewhat off the standard itinerary but well worth it. Cutty Sark, Royal observatory and this museum.

You can see the bullet hole in his coat.

Lord Nelson’s standard battle instructions to Captains operating remotely:
“Be active, and always hate a Frenchman.”
