They decided to pull out during Covid. There was business but the writing was on the wall with the they/thems

Probably has more to do with their demographic and erectile dysfunction more than inflation. Hooters customer base is in the 50s and 60s....that age group ain't as enthralled with titties as they were when they were 30. Coupled with young people being offended by almost everything and the idea of Hooters has not aged well....

Yeah they always had a reputation for subpar food but when I went I found their wings to be better than bww by a lot.
The smoked and the Daytona beach style were both really good

I haven't been to one in years but food was always alright. It was fun when I was in my 20s and 30s to go with a bunch of dudes before a game or something. Drink beer, eat wings, harmless flirting and dirty jokes about the staff.
It is unfair to judge wings against Atlanta wings. Atlanta has the best wings on average anywhere. Not a point of pride for the local chamber but you can't sling a dead cat ITP and not hit a better wing than you'll find in about 80% of the places in the world that make wings....

He exaggerated the 2 beers thing, but there were some locations that had the pitchers with the ice chamber thing in the middle. Those locations would definitely cheat you on some beers per pitcher.
I never saw this in any of the LA locations. Those would pour the pitcher, fill a few glasses, then drop a bag of ice in them

Their food is mediocre as hell, damn near every one I've been into the last 15 years was noticeably dirty and badly in need of a renovation, and there are now a shitload more breastaurants that compete w/them.

That's not saying much considering BWW is bottom of the barrel trash bag food. You may as well save your money and be eat generic frozen wings from WalMart if you go to BWW.
