Not sure if there’s a say. It’s weird because Fitness Project brought all that in a year ago then bought the suite a couple down and was opening a ‘Recovery Project’. I guess money talks. This is in a smaller town/suburb and while there’s not a ton of chatter it’s the same familiar faces seen. I’m afraid of the turnover and changes to the big corporate feel.

We sound like we are looking for the same - not a bodybuilder, just need to get in, workout and get out. Finally quit PF and joined another gym. They let high school kids in for free during the summer.
It’s a hangout and impossible to get a workout in with everyone sitting at the machines looking at their phones.

I personally like planet fitness for what I use it for. I get a free membership at a very large gym as my wife is an instructor there. I keep my PF membership b/c there's usually less people (at least the one I attend), and I use it depending on what time I go. dumbbells' up to 75 lbs, smith machines (8 I think) and various other machines. no free weight barbell

This is the problem in all of their locations. The gym/equipment itself is sufficient for 90% of the population

Many of them are adding free weights and removing the circuit training. I go in the AM on the weekdays and it's awesome. Many employees always cleaning and they fix anything broken fairly quickly. Did make the mistake of going on a Friday evening once and it was horrible with the types of people on there. I think it all depends on what your schedule is in relation to theirs.

Are you joining to Approach Girls at the GYM ?
Because there is another thread on that.
Also make sure you post all your biometrics, and stats, so the OT can have a clear understanding of the situation.

I join them when on a lengthy camping hiking road trip to get a shower and cleaned up.

You're such a lying chode. Just a few weeks ago you said that because of your "executive" status you were able to work out in the company gym.
Your company gym was bought out by PF?

PF has plenty of free weights. I was a member when it was my only option.
It’s the “grunt meter” that’s complete BS. Basically you can’t make any noise when lifting.

I run in the mornings. Use the company gym for the locker rooms and showers. Hit the neighborhood gym later afternoons.

He's a poster child of a planet fitness member

I’m attracted to the $15/month just to sign and stay as it’s less than 2 miles from the house, but worried about what they’re going to convert to equipment wise. Anyone at a PF? Is it what all the punchlines are about?
The one in Gonzales is solid. It's full of some real fit mfers at 6am or 4pm. Not alotta fatties and I'm often the fattest frick in there.
The punchlines were warranted at one time. But I've been a member 4 years now and we've never had free pizza or donuts.
It's always clean and plenty of weights and machines. I like the big arse fans in there as well. Keeps you cool on the treadmills.
I also had experience cancelling for 6 months. Had no issues cancelling and then rejoining.
They do require a bank account to draft. I let them tap into an old Cap One account I keep like $50 in all the time.
Hope that helps.

Ah I forgot about that. Good point. But it's easy to avoid them by going early in the mornings. I fricked up and went a few times last summer during lunch or 3pm and it was just like you said.
