Again, is there any way someone on here can run that plate and get a name of the owner? Is that possible or legal by anyone other than a cop? Speedy, where you at?

Highly doubt perps are still in the state.

Agreed. There are a lot of places they could be 48 hours later.. Assuming it was Sunday afternoon, they could've easily gone to sleep Sunday night in LA, MS, FL, AL, GA if not others.

I took this route going from BR to Birmingham over the summer. Extremely easy access to Interstates 55, 59, and 65

I'm guessing FL, just because it's FL.

Still trying to sell FBI crime stats, I see?

Son, politicians gonna politic. Those numbers are fudged. And they've been caught doing it. Google it yourself.

Not to say you are wrong but this is a horrible way to answer these statements..
You: Oh, I'm not wrong... You're wrong! Just google it!

Also if the FBI crime stats are being "fudged" by politicians now, why wouldn't they be "fudged" back then?
What specific incident changed the "fudging" of crime statistics?

No doubt it's been done by the cops. I'm talking about someone on this board. I honestly don't know who is privy to that kind of access or even if it would be legal to run the plate them post the name on a forum such as this.

1000X this.

LAPD was even recently busted for underreporting crime stats for the past 8 years. The result? The massive decrease in violent crime was shown to be a tiny bit less massive:

IOW, I'll grant you your talking point of cops lying about stats...and still there has been a precipitous drop in crime. It's weird to me that people don't want to believe this obvious truth.

You are obviously not smart enough to think deeply.

Here, I'll help you:

quote:

There is good news to be found in the city's crime stats. For the ninth year in a row, Dallas is on pace to see a drop in its crime rate and, while violent crime is about flat, burglary and theft are down by 15 and 11 percent, respectively.

The improving numbers are partly tied to a drop in crime nationwide over the past decade and partly, as the Dallas Police Department is quick to highlight, to smarter policing. DPD is more reluctant to trumpet the other reason: it's massaging its crime stats.

Over the weekend, the Morning News crunched some numbers for instances of petty theft both before and after DPD changed its reporting policy on Jan. 5. Under the new rules, officers don't respond to shoplifting offenses under $50. Instead, business owners are instructed to go online, print out a form, and mail it, as in through the U.S. Postal Service, to DPD.

The News found just about what you'd expect them to find:

"The reports plummeted Jan. 5," the paper wrote. "That's exactly the day the new reporting policy took effect.

"Before that date minor shoplifting offenses averaged about 10 a day. Immediately afterward, that average fell to fewer than three a day."

You're free to believe that we are awash in epic levels of violent crime. Anyone who is actually paying attention knows that it is has plummeted in preposterous proportions.

Another eerily similar detail to the Gonzales robbery/ murders that occurred a few years ago.
