One that hasn’t been mentioned yet is the Greeks/Macedonians into the Middle East bus the conquest of Alexander the Great. Although the genetic makeup of the people wasn’t altered to the same extent as some of the other ones mentioned, the cultural impact of it was huge. Greek language, culture, philosophy, warfare etc was spread. This culture, language, and way of life was the foundation for many many civilizations to come, including Rome

The migration of Germanic peoples into the Roman Empire has to be up there. Basically caused the collapse of the Western Empire and completely reshaped European history.

Yes they massacred .....final solutioned the Armenians in WWI. Put them in concentration camps...forced labor. They were Nazi's before Hitler. Turks were actually mercenaries of the Arabs during Islam's initial spread into Central Asia. They converted fast and did a lot of conquering for them . Then sometime around 1000. The Arab Caliphate begins to collapse and there is this big Turkish army roaming northern Persia and Iraq. They caused problems for years on the frontier of the Byzantine Empire until the Emperor had enough and lead an army against them at Manzikret in far eastern Anatolia. The Byzantines lost...bigly and as a result the Turks who were actually more interested in taking Damascus turned their sights on Asia Minor which was more fertile......then they went on a killing and raping spree.

It is fascinating history. My great grandfather was a Greek who was actually born south of what is Izmir, Turkey.....he always referred to it as Smyrna. After WW I his family decided that dealing with the Turks was no longer worth it and since the British were occupying Constantinople(Istanbul) they would beseech them to emigrate. They went to Cyprus first and then Australia said they could move there. Went to Melbourne....later my grandfather met a girl from Auckland and he went with her there in 45 to get married and he never left. But my great grandfather HATED Turks with a white hot passion.....my grandfather had no use for them either.

Intranational migration of the Chinese people beginning in the late 1970s. It is the largest movement of people from rural to urban areas in human history.

Most impactful? Probably the age of exploration when the Europeans finally figured out that clean water doesn’t kill you, saw populations explode after the plague, and colonized 5 continents
