My understanding is that all religious orders report to the Catholic hierarchy - except for the Jesuits. They report directly to the Pope.

IDK about all that. Pope Leo is an Augustinian so I guess the Order of Saint Augustine is the order with a direct line to the pope right now.

You are being generous with the term "religion".

If your religion endorses pedophilia, murdering those that don't believe like you do, and denies basic rights to females, then it is a cult.

In a minute, we will have someone say, " but they pray to the same God!!!1!!1".

So they’re Non-Believers who pretend to be Christian?

It happens to be the same religion that wants to destroy western culture and kill Christians (infidels).

Small addendum, as an atheist you're an infidel too.

Islam is a religion. A muslim is one who follows Islam. There is no "islamist"

Islamist is the term used to describe one who supports Islam as a political system as well as a religion.

These are the same thing. It's just Islam. Someone came up with "Islamicist/Islamism" in an effort to distance Muslims from terrorism, but it's literally just Muslims living as the Prophet commanded. Which is fine in some desert, but is totally incompatible with Western Civilization.

The religion is the political system. I don't know how people can't see that.

A friend of mine (who is a member of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart order) avers that the Jesuits are not Catholics.

So OP, negative Ghostrider.

Apples and Oranges. The Bible doesn't teach followers of Jesus Christ to kill anyone for any reason, let alone not converting to the religion. According to the Quran, anyone who doesn't convert is an infidel, and can be put to death.

In a lot of cases, yes. But it is possible to be a Muslim and not an Islamist.

The name of the religion is Islam, not Muslimism

A Dominican friar and a Jesuit walk into a church. A young man approaches them and says, "I know that I want to live a religious life, but I can't decide which order to join. Which one is the best?"

The friar laughs and responds, "Well, the Dominicans were founded to confront the Albigensians, and the Jesuits were founded to confront the Protestants. Now, when was the last time you met an Albigensian?"

A Franciscan friar died and went to Heaven. He humbly knocked on the door, and was admitted without any fanfare. One day, decades later, he notices that a huge welcoming ceremony is being prepared by the door, complete with candles, flowers, beautiful music, and a red carpet. He asks a nearby angel who is about to arrive, and the angel, with an enormous smile on his face, exclaims, "We're about to welcome a Jesuit!"

The Franciscan, perplexed, seeks out St. Peter and asks him, "Does Heaven really think so much less of Franciscans than Jesuits?" St. Peter replies, "Not at all! It's just that we have Franciscans arriving every day..."
