as if it wasn't bad enough, that these d-bags are putting kids health at risk, now they are going to make sure Fido and Tiger have a chance of picking up nasty shite like heart worms/pin worms,etc.

I think they're actually saying that they would rather their dog get heartworms....a real, known threat to dogs, than possibly get a made up doggy disease, of which, said fabricated disease is caused by something that has no proven link whatsoever in humans, let alone animals.
