In light of the development in this area, is the traffic bad on a regular basis? Thank you.

It is during morning and evening rush hour, but nothing really uncharacteristic or any of the other areas of the Northshore. It’s a nuisance, but worth it to me. They’ll be building another roundabout at highway 22 and 1085. There are also some proposed projects that will further alleviate some of the growth issues.

That won’t fix anything. They need to four lane 22 from mandeville to Ponchatoula

It will fix some of the delay turning left onto 22. There are really a bunch of small projects that will have small impacts here and there. Unfortunately, we’re pretty far from any massive changes.

Roads are incredibly narrow, traffic controls are pathetic. Infrastructure has lagged way behind development.
At times people are moving around, before work/school and after work/school traffic is a cluster frick. 1077 at Brewster is a joke.
Interstate is totally fricked as there are only 3 ways across the river.

Truth. I witnessed a woman drive the wrong way and get t boned

Wait until Coquille completes their takeover. Oh and the Madisonville HS will be built in the next 3-4 yrs however I think they are looking at property at 1077 and 25.

We moved north of covington a year and half ago because of all the traffic and i-12 eastbound. Too much growth for me. But to each his own.

When I was a kid there was literally nothing out there, but the Turnpike/Bootlegger Rd intersection was bad. That whole area from the Turnpike exit back to Robert is like the Bermuda Triangle of I-12

OP here. For those who think it's bad, do you feel it's bad only if you have to commute, or is it bad even if just driving in the area at the wrong times?

Thanks again.

Yes and there’s also heavy traffic on I-12 at rush hour for miles then you exit to the 1077 nightmare.

Roundabout is much better than when there was a traffic light at the intersection.

Not going to happen. Tangipahoa parish does appreciate the St Tammany influx.

Have you traveled those roads. Probably great for two horses to pass each other. Definitely not suitable for two lanes of automobiles.

If you are moving from a low traffic area, you might not like it. If you are coming from a high traffic area you might not think it is to bad. Do yourself a favor and get off of work early for a few days and drive in the high traffic areas of the different places you might consider moving to. That traffic circle has made it a lot better at the intersection you mentioned.

I remember there was a cattle guard on 1085 just before 1077.

I remember that guys house where the ball fields are. The model plane park where playmakers is and a house trailer where McDonald’s is.
