What happened to the climate change induced, doomsday, continuous, strong and prolonged Atlantic hurricane predictions for the 2024 season?

We've had two different August fronts that dropped highs into the low to mid 80s and hit the 50s for lows a couple days. We didn't get a drop of rain. We need it, too, we're under a half inch for the month.

lol this. If you see it anywhere below 90 as a high this time of year it means rain.

You’re not in south Louisiana then, because that 100% did not happen in south Louisiana on 9/1/23. It didn’t get into the 50’s once in September 2023

This is the kind of stuff I like to look up because it interests me to see what an area is capable of.

It isn't impossible. On August 29, 1992 in Baton Rouge it was a high of 85° with a low of 59° with no rain. That's the first one I saw in the dailies for Aug. 27-29.

We get plenty of days in September with highs in the 80s most years. It can be really hot too obviously, but it's the first month down here where you have a chance at a cool snap.

That's why it sucks less than July and August. That and football.

But you still need to be at least 3500 feet or higher of elevation to avoid sweltering heat and humidity.

The Carolinas, Tennessee, NW Arkansas are just a few places that make this kind of living ideal.

This in the forecast for the 1st day of dove season. West of FW. Relatively mild summer, a good bit of water in the livestock pond, and birds flying all over my pasture. Gonna be a good weekend
