3rd row that's actually usable compared to the one offered in the 4Runner.
I was referring to the fact that he said he doesn't think he needs a third row and likes captains chairs.

Dude, I have a 2016 4runner limited and it is plenty nice and rides very well. I was just researching the value of my wife's 2010 4 runner and was pleasantly surprised.
The 4runner basically dominates the segment with respect to resale value. As I said earlier, it's one of many reasons to buy a vehicle, but one that will lean to Toyota in general, and the 4runner specifically.

There are two captains in the middle and a third row. Easy access to the third row.

I mean, that's not a thing. IF you have captains chairs, you have a 3rd row. At least for the vehicles we're talking about.

Cool. My name is not J.D. Power so I don't know the layouts of every vehicle made. Carry on.

Sorry for being informed and passing on the info. I'll try to not do that from now on.

Do they still make the Sequoia? Get that.

Why though?
The wife won't be offroading, most likely won't be towing. So why is it the best choice to put her in the smaller, more uncomfortable, less efficient vehicle?
Have good knowledge of both, I own a new 4Runner, parents have a loaded Jeep GC Summit w/ Hemi.
4Runner vs Hemi get near identical mileage
Grand Cherokee has 23FT cargo LESS than the 4Runner
Comfort is subjective, the JC unibody rides a little softer but the 4Runner is comfortable.

That’s what I’m talking about

I think Grand Cherokees are one of the best-looking vehicles but I've been hearing terrible things about them.

No one really wants a Highlander.

I miss my 2001 more than some of my deceased family members

Yeah they had a manly look then. Now it's basically a chick SUV.
