Looks nice, but I can get 2016 low miles 4Runner or Highlander limited for $34-36. I’m ot poor

Resale value, safety rating, reliability.
You're aware the Highlander has all those same things right?

Not sure why you say uncomfortable?
Go drive a Highlander and a 4Runner and get back to me. I love 4Runners, but for OP's wife, it's highly unlikely it is a better choice than the Highlander.

So why is it the best choice to put her in the smaller, more uncomfortable, less efficient vehicle
is the interior really smaller on the 4 runner than it is on the jeep? im so crammed in the jeep as it is now

Talking about the Highlander, not the Jeep.

Dude, I have a 2016 4runner limited and it is plenty nice and rides very well. I was just researching the value of my wife's 2010 4 runner and was pleasantly surprised.

The Summit trim is incredible - Blows the yota’s away. But I don’t want to fix shite
How many miles will you be putting on it?
If it's a vehicle you'll use around town and put say 12k miles per year, the reliability isn't really a reasonable concern for you over 5-7 years.
However, the resale value is the problem with the Cherokees, and that's where reliability hurts. 2016 Summit vs Limited 4runner has basically the same 5 year cost to own numbers down the board, except on the depreciation figure. People will simply pay more for the Toyota when it's got 100k miles on it.

I like that...gas mileage blow?

Yep, it’ll only be a 10-12k Miles per year ride. Thanks

Talking about the Highlander,
so highlander is roomier that the 4Runner?
Posted on 11/8/17 at 4:17 pm to Happygilmore
From my Uber experiences yes. The Highlander with two middle captain seats is nice

Yes.

The resale makes me want to pick 4Runner
Understandable, but there is more to owning a car than the resale value. You should try and quantify that for you and your wife, but that's easier said than done.

Not terrible. I drive around town mostly but also pull my boat and so far my average is right around 17mpg.

Grand Cherokee Summit or save a few bucks and go with the Overland package.
Ive got a 2015 JGC Overland with 50,000 and have had no issues at all. Best ride I’ve ever had. Most of the “Jeep will break down” comments are based on Jeep’s history several years ago and with smaller vehicles.
I considered the Summit package but it had more technology extras than I wanted. The more tech you add the more there is to get screwed up, and that applies to any manufacture.

Their can only be one, and it’s not the Highlander or the Jeep.

So, you will never have anyone else in the car except you, your wife and the kids?

Love the entertainment system on the touring. Not ruled out...it’s surpassed the Acura MDX for now.

I’ve never had either but the reliability score for the newer jeeps is higher than the 4Runner.
