High level AAU parents- is tGrind as tough as travel ball’s?

0 reason to play until HS...find a team that plays local tournaments...my theory is there are plenty enough kids in town that are better than mine at the younger ages....but once HS rolls around if they still play there are not as many teams

Pros: you are indoors
Cons: you are around shittier people usually in shittier places.
Otherwise, about the same.
I’ve done both, plus high level travel soccer. I enjoyed the soccer the best of the three.

Everytime I’ve gotten involved in a travel ball thread, I’ve ALWAYS said that parents weren’t as bad as the OT says.
Well we had ‘tryouts’ for our true 6 tball rec league the other day, and a parent pulled me aside and asked me if I was interested in my child playing travel ball. HE’S frickING SIX
I told the dude that I wouldn’t want to do that until maybe 11-12 or something like that, and he said something about ‘getting the jump’ on everyone else. I couldn’t help but laugh

The soccer was girls. The baseball and basketball were boys.

Basketball is a lot like travel baseball. AAU track is not as bad.

Have him play grown arse men at least up through middle school.
Better competition than AAU.

AAU was the most fun I’ve had playing any team organized sport. Went to Dallas and Disney world playing in Tournaments. We shot like 40 3’s a game

depends on what league ball is like in your area. Started playing travel ball at age 10
