I agree. Personally, I think kids of veterans need a lot of support if their father or mother was overseas during their childhood on past puberty. The kids don't understand the sacrifices our veterans give for this country. They provide the opportunities for freedoms that we as civilians get to enjoy. It is difficult for kids to grasp this concept because it is abstract. Facetime probably helps some but on the other hand the internet has created a now now now world. That doesn't just apply to kids. It transcends age and race.
I could go on a huge rant about how we spend billions to trillions on warfare and bribing dictators only to forget our veterans that come home with health problems that don't arise until a year later and the VA doesn't cover them... It is disgusting.
Anyways, this girl definitely bears responsibility, but at the same time we as civilians should look after each other and especially the families of service members so we end up with less troubled kids. The mental health of veterans is a bygone and the rate is much higher than civilians. I'd imagine the same is true for their children.
