Someone get this Texan baw a beer. Or maybe a round of applause since he’s under age. He saw the attack happening so he ran toward the dog to distract it then got attacked.

Six year old ran away and survived.

Pit bulls are not inherently violent. Someone probably just forgot to feed it lunch.

They are not inherently violent until they are, then morons line up to make excuses for them.

Someone needs to get that young man a wheelbarrow to help him haul around his huge balls

That video is infuriating to watch. Curious to know the details about how the dog got loose. Couldn't really tell but were the kids playing with it when it decided to flip the kill switch?

Yep, my fricking neighbor has one. They don’t keep it on a leash and there’s no leash law in my state. It came running towards my 8 and 6 year old but didn’t attack, just viciously growled and barked.

Neighbor lost her shite on me when I pulled out my 9MM to put it down. I told her to call him back to her yard and if I see him in my yard again, I’ll fricking kill him.
She threatened to call the cops, but apparently she didn’t because I haven’t seen the cops or the dog since.

I had a similar situation one time and called the cops myself. They told me to call animal control but that I was well within my right to defend myself and my family if it ever came at us again. I said, “you mean I can shoot and kill it if i want to if it comes at us again?” He said “that’s exactly what I mean”.

It's frightening how quickly that dog closed the gap on a fit-looking 19-year old. Granted he was having to reverse momentum, but the dog was on him nearly immediately after focusing on him.

I'd say they're both lucky. While it was an unprovoked attack, it didn't look like the Pit Bull was on all out mauling-murder mode.

I mean, hugs are nice, Mom, but at least give that boy a gift certificate to The Cheesecake Factory. Yeesh.

No shite. If I was that six year old’s dad, I’m getting that 19 year old an Amazon gift card for $500. If he were 21 or over I’m definitely getting him a few cases of beer. Something, anything, more than a hug.
