A 44-year-old Massachusetts woman is dead after her family's dog mauled her while she was having a seizure, according to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office.
Officials said police received a 911 call at about 5:20 p.m. Friday from the victim's daughter. She told police that her mother, Melissa Astacio, was having a seizure inside their home when the family dog began to attack.
Officials said the dog, believed to be an 8-year-old pit bull, was secured at the scene by animal rescue officers and has been place in quarantine at their facility.

If a pit bull senses any weakness you're gone.

I'll take a staffordshire terrier over most breeds.

One additional layer of fricked up: when the police arrived and were trying to get the dog off the woman, the daughter kept repeating over and over to the officers that she didn’t want them to kill the dog! Priorities I tell ya!
