i have an incisional hernia from a prior operation just above my belly button. My High deductible plan only pays after $6850 is paid out of pocket. Anyone know of any surgery centers in Nola area that I can get a cash price on? I see some online around $2000 to $3000 but nothing in NOLA.

If it was an inguinal hernia it would only cost you tree fiddy out of pocket.

Tree fiddy sounds great!

I recently went to pick up something and got a sharp pain in my groin and it scared the shite out of me. I do not want to have to deal with that. Had a kidney stone scare recently as well.
Btw you have me stumped on who you are irl. I was almost positive I knew and then ran into that person, and nope

I called both of those and they really wouldn't give me any info over the phone. Thanks for checking though.

Call Ochsner. They have two hernia specialists and work with private pay customers all the time. Ask for a financial counselor. 504-842-3000

Any idea what caused the second hernia? That's a bit odd, right?

nah...once your abdominal muscles are cut, they are weak and prone to hernias where the old scar is.

Had gall bladder removed a few years ago... The hernia is at the old incision site.

My friend Bob Sacamano is a janitor at a hospital, and he gets a ton of medical products left over after surgeries, some of it barely used.
He'd said he'd do it for $1,000 cash.

Thanks Obama.
he picked his cheap plan. it kicks in after you pay nearly $7000.
he probably only got it because he has to have something. its nearly nothing.
he could have got a real plan.
try addressing the choices of the poster.
it seems like he is missing a good bet. the previous MD pays for the next work as well as a cash settlement.

I don't have obamacare. I have a high deductible plan through my employer. Yes, By choice. Thanks Celtic for your concern.

We do them for free every day where I work. It's sad

I was thinking about switching to my company's high deductible plan. this is probably not the best time to ask, but are you satisfied with the high deductible plan?

Glad to help. Let me know how it went. If you had trouble I may be able to facilitate things.
