Just made a run to dorignacs for some shite I forgot. It was depressing as hell seeing all the middle aged men picking out salads, soups and sandwiches from the deli section. Made me think about my neighbor. Going to invite him over for the game and dinner.

Be thankful for the ones you have, even if they suck.

I once sent a turkey and cheddar lunchable to SS while he was in prison during Thanksgiving.

You may have sent it for two thanksgivings now that I think about it. The Capri sun splash cooler edition was clutch

I spent Christmas alone one year and a coworker and her husband brought me Christmas dinner, it was an awesome gesture that I will never forget. Good for you, inviting the neighbor over!

I’ve been at the nursing home since 8am with my mom. She’s 81 and had a stroke last year, lost use of the left side of her body. My sister cooked some food and set up a table in her room My siblings have been stopping in and relatives. I’m not leaving her side today and my wife understood, she’s at her dads house. It’s really sad here several of the residents have no one visit them

I dined alone on Thanksgiving after getting divorced. I decided to go out to a fancy restaurant that was serving a Thanksgiving buffet thing just to get out. It was awesome and a touch depressing at the same time.

I bring my Grandfather dinner most nights
You can tell so many of the other residents have no one visit them
They just want someone to talk to, it’s really sad

Damn. I would at least treat myself to some turkey and dressing while reading a good book at Cracker Barrel.

Now that is sad, yet nice all at once.

I'm alone...nobody cares really. I'll take a walk and microwave something later. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

I live thousands of miles away from any family and didn't feel like spending money to go home to visit after I had just gone home a month ago for somewhat of a family reunion for my dad's 60th birthday

I have lots of people here in SD offer to let me go to their place for thanksgiving but I decline. I am cooking myself. Making myself a feast of chicken fried steak and a peanut butter pie

Technically, I won't be dining alone. The cat is here with me.
