So was it a real gun? Article title says replica.

Why the hell would it matter? If it looks like a gun and is pointed at you, do you take the time to examine it before reacting?

The BLM movement has done an extraordinary job of teaching the young black youth that police are evil and should be ignored when they tell you to do something.

Real question: If the kid hadn't threatened anyone with the weapon, pointed it at anyone, or fired it, is he still considered an imminant threat while fleeing and can/should an officer shoot them for fleeing from an officer?

Real answer- no

Sounds like a justified shooting to me
You should know by now that this does not matter anymore.

Gun confiscation would fix this.

The odds of the gun used being legally obtained are greater than the odds of my slow irish arse beating Usain Bolt in a sprint. How can you confiscate guns if you don't know about them? I hope that your argument is meant in jest. Sadly the thought that every shooting could be avoided is something that is apart of a liberal agenda. Here in lies the problem, if you remove suicides then their are more deaths per 100,000 by a car than by guns. Notice I didn't say cars, but a car. Toyota Prius are involved in more deaths per 100,000 than guns. COnfiscate all Prius first.

What's even better is how ridiculous his statement gets when it turns out to be a toy gun.

Do you know the facts of the case? I was responding to his generalized, full of shite statement that any time an officer shoots a fleeing suspect he/she is in the wrong.
