Helping the Economy

If you are cash strong, order food from restaurants, use drive thrus and go buy things. Don’t let the fear freeze this thing up. People’s jobs and your 401ks depend on it. Even if you get a welfare check, tax revenue backs it and they need workers to pay taxes to collect it... we all have a vested interest in keeping goods and services rolling as best as possible while being on lock down.

We're not on lock down, and people are buying TOO MUCH stuff, in their blind panic.

Hang on every word? That was an exaggeration... you must live under a rock because you can’t go to eat or have a drink tomorrow night... so I guess you could wonder around town and be free but your options are limited... meanwhile, if you want those restaurants to remain, they still need your business so they can pay their ongoing bills during the lay-off.

Dude... What are you saying? None of that makes any sense, and has nothing to do with my reply.
You're imploring everyone to go buy stuff to keep the economy flowing, and what I'm telling you is that people ARE doing that, to the point of excess.
Meanwhile, if we were actually on "lock down", you wouldn't be able to eat at a restaurant.
You're telling me that I can't go eat or have a drink tomorrow night, which I have no idea where you're getting that from, but then you're telling me to go get take out... Can I, or can't I get food and drink, according to you?
The best thing for people to do is freaking relax.

I didn’t misunderstand and blind panic doesn’t create economic growth... they buy and then stop because they hoarded it up... I’m saying do everything the same and make a little more effort. Meaning have a continuous stream of buying over the next few weeks. So when GDP numbers are released there isn’t more doom and gloom.
Not sure what I’m my post mentions panic, this is just level headed thinking.

I strongly disagree, the only way to stop this mess is a complete lock down, you know how many assholes do not wash their hands and go in public sick

The issue is that what you're trying to explain to me now, was not well articulated in your original post. And if restaurants are closed, how are we supposed to magically order food from them to help them out? That's literally impossible.
And I didn't say YOU were in a panic, I said that people are already buying stuff out BECAUSE they are in a panic.
Now you're telling me that they should just buy things at a normal rate. I agree with that. But that's not what you said before, and if it's what you meant, you could have worded it more clearly. You made it sound as though everyone had locked themselves in their house, and no one was buying anything.
Rest assured, even in panic, they won't stop buying. They wait for the stores to restock, and they buy some more, because they're losing their minds, thinking all the stores will be shut down, too, and they'll have nowhere to go.

I can’t find TP to buy. Got lots of cash but can’t eat if I can’t wipe my arse.

My wife and I are eating out every day at lunch. Today we sat alone in a big restaurant with 50+ tables...during the noon hour. Tomorrow we start picking up our orders and bringing them home.

Starting at 8am 03/17 in Houston all bars and clubs close and you’re only able to get take-out or delivery from restaurants (no dine-in). It’s serious over here boys.

Confused? Just answer this question: Have you been told to stay in your home? No? Me either. That means we're not in lock down.

He’s saying people should still patron restaurants even though you can’t actually go and sit down in them after tonight, which will obviously lead to a decrease in customer traffic. It’s not that hard to understand.

Restaurants that are closing, are closing. You're not going to go there and get something to go.
An even if we could, we don't need to go order food to keep their businesses afloat. They won't go out of business over this. And it's their own decision to close up. They can deal with the consequences.

We're not going to be locked in our homes, and there will be no martial law. We just have a bunch of ignorant people falling for media hype. It is stupid, but it will pass.
