Is the car fuel tank full?
do you have a oily rag?
inser oily rag into gas tank. light the rag....get to a safe distance and then wait a little. After explosion, your ignition will be unlocked.

Mechanic friend came over. Tapped on the steering wheel a few times. The one thing I didn't do. Worked like a charm.
I'm stupid.

Didn't read all the responses...
I assume you have a that car won't let you start the car without your foot on the brake. There is a sensor behind the brake pedal. It might be a $30 part (it's been awhile since I did this). The sensor fails and thinks you don't have your foot on the brake and thus won't allow the car to start.

Broken Brake switch. Basically, the car doesn't realize you have your foot on the brake. When you tap the brake pad you should hear a faint click sound coming from under the dash.
Never mind that would only keep you from getting it into Drive not turn the key
You're fricked
