Your steering wheel is locked. Turn the wheel the same time you turn the key to unlock it

I had a car that the fix for this problem was pulling out slightly part of the shifter assembly near the button you push to shift to drive/park.

Sounds weird but I assume it has to do with the lock a few folks mentioned.

Shake the steering wheel. Every car I’ve ever had has had this problem at some point in time.

I can’t believe no one has actually provided the right answer. Clearly you are low on blinker fluid.

Check the battery. In some cars, if the battery discharges it will lock the key in the ignition. Then after charging the battery you may have to rock the car back and forth to get the key to turn.

Years ago had a girlfriend who called me at work with this problem. She was on her lunch break. I drove from College to Essen to go help her. I get in her car, try to turn the ignition while holding the brake down...nothing. I look down and see that the car was in "drive". I put the car in "park" and promptly started the car. Then gave her the

So make sure the car is in park. And if it wasn't

Bust the steering column with a hammer.Crank with a screwdriver.

If it was a key-less ignition I'd say replace the Battery in your little Black thingy.
