Let it live outside your home assuming it’s not declawed. It’ll rid your home of pesky rodents, snakes, scorpions, birds and other stuff you don’t want around.

Nothing wrong with an inside/outside cat, especially on a farm. He needs to learn your home is his home and he’s part of your family. Bring him in to find his place in the family, then you can start letting him out when he wants, which will probably be more often than not. He will love being on a farm.

Put its head in your mouth

Alternatively you could learn to give an innocent, helpless animal some love.

Is he mean or docile? Does he still have his claws?
Those are important questions with a cat. Good luck trying to find a home for it though, 8 months is over the honeymoom period of a cute little kitten.
Just let him out and have an outside cat if your bound and determined to not have an inside cat. I love cats as pets though and have one sitting next to me on the couch right now. He's a cat, he'll survive if you let him out of your shed and keep food around for him. The least you can do is leave food out for him.

People in this thread are way overestimating how easy it is to find a home for basically an adult cat. There aren’t many people willing, and there are a shite ton of grown cats available to adopt. A life on a farm sounds perfect.

A shop cat can be pretty helpful

Cats can be awesome pets. Get to know the little guy.

Let it live outside. Feed a cat and it won’t go anywhere.
Cats are 100% smarter than dogs and are much cleaner pets.

Had an outside cat “find” us when he was ~9 mos (per vet). He started coming in as he was comfortable and began being outside during the day then inside at night. I was not a cat person - my wife is - but he was a cool cat. Constantly hunted and killed, then would usually shared his kill with us. One day got a hold of something that was diseased and died a week or so later. He stayed with us for about 5 years. Outside cats don’t always live that long.

Ina few days your shop will stink from concentrated cat piss where it marks territory. Sorry, it’s gonna do it and you will hate it.

With coyotes so prevalent now I haven’t seen a feral cat in years.
Feral cats are coyote treats.

Not if he’s neutered.

Just sprinkle some rat poison in the food, problem solved.

When did she bring home the a-hole that hates cats?
Posted on 10/31/20 at 9:08 pm to El Segundo Guy
We had cats growing up and never had one litter box. Although one cat was name miss in and out. Always wanting one or the other.

You need to move it ASAP. If you can't find a home, just hit is with a shovel
