Heavy drinkers. How do you explain the appeal?

Due to a combination of not finding alcohol all that tasty and going from "feeling fine" to "sick" in a matter of minutes, I've never seen the appeal of drinking heavily. I'll drink socially, a beer or two, or a glass of wine with dinner, but other than that, I'm good.

Those that partake heavily, what's the appeal?

I find alcohol tasty and I go from “feeling fine” to feeling “GREAT” in about an hour or so.

Why do you drink at all if you’re a giant pussy?

Most like the taste and are able to regulate their drinking better than you can.

Waking up groggy, pukey, tremendous headache? Dodging DUI checkpoints and terrible sober drivers poking along between the lines and spending a ton of money?

How can you not get that?

I used to be a pretty heavy drinker. Some people enjoy the numbing feeling, the loss of inhibitions, escape from reality etc. Also consider that it takes a heavy drinker 10 beers to feel about like you do after 2.

That's your problem right there.

ETA:
Maybe you are allergic to alcohol.

Just drink 3-5 whisky drinks a night and you won’t have to worry about feeling sick. Get that tolerance up baw
