You are still saving $2500 a year with Obamacare.

The portal / Obamacare seems to have one huge glaring problem in just talking to a lot of people:
Many more people are getting excellent coverage that never had it at the same time the portal spits out 1k a month for many people just making 30k a year.
Not sure how much is just on Obama as healthcare is a continual disaster in this country -- at the same time it's building vast fortunes. I do remember Obamacare being completely revamped by insurance company lobby to get passed but it's hardly any less of a mess than any other insurance.

Insurance charges double to other people so poors can have insurance for basically free

Explain your reasoning behind such a stupid opinion.

Obamacare (and corporate poor planning) is what put my last employer out of business when it fundamentally changed the insurance industry. A chain of 17 surgical hospitals helping to resolve serious issues went "poof" resulting in even longer waitlists for available space/equipment. The business model was sustainable, growing, 1 night, headed for bankruptcy the next.

Have more kids and get more bang for your buck.

Yeah, no insurance! If he gets hurt he will only have student debt and medical bills until he’s 70. Id risk it.

One of my best friends had cancer in college.

In 2016, Trump and the GOP had control of the House and the Senate. Trump wanted to kill Obamacare but neither he or his allies in Congress had a replacement plan. It was trust us, repeal it and we will have something better in 2 weeks. Never happened.
GOP is best at throwing stones and maiking up cute little nicknames. Not so good when it comes to actually working and creating a new plan that might just attract bi-partisan support.

jumped a $100 per month for the second time this year.
Interesting, most company plans are locked into rates for at least a year. Any idea why it went up?

Completely agree with you.
And the National Healthcare Act was being put in place because insurance and medical care was already at an impossibly high rate.
This started way before Obama.
If there is a better plan, im all for it. But where medical care and prescription costs are , something needs to be done.

No clue. It went up June 01($100), and now set for another $100 hike starting Sept. 01.

So that if he comes down with a serious illness or accident, he is not bankrupt for the next 20 years or remainder of life. Am I missing something here?
It isn’t “right” but you truly don’t need health insurance in this country

That’s not the point. They are doing all they can to steal from us, yet propping up the do-nothings and illegals. It is expensive because of what they are doing. An illegal causes an auto accident, they walk. The worthless cops let them leave the scene. We get sued even if no injuries.

Have you looked at the plan options for a high deductible plan with lower premiums? Like someone else said, I’ve never heard of a price increase on employer sponsored plans mid-year, usually that is disclosed during open enrollment (late fall), and goes into effect in January

I pay 26k/year for a healthy family of four.
