My step-father has gone twice. Both times for a week to detox. The detox was to my knowledge his biggest hurdle. Once he had cleaned his system he stayed clean until he retired. Boredom got him drinking socially and it grew from there again until he was drinking vodka all day long. Finished his second stint in February. It’s a bitch. Even for those that are strong willed.
