Does anyone else wife go to baby showers for women who has kids out of wedlock?

I realized that mine doesn’t, and I asked her about it. She said that her mom told her many many years ago to don’t go to a shower unless the woman is married.

That’s some old school stuff right there.

The problem is that there are many people who claim Christianity (and therefore live in places that are predominately Protestant) but don’t try to live like Christ. Not that their sins are any worse than mine, but so many younger people now believe that sex outside of marriage is fine because God is merciful and he will just forgive them in the end. Look at the girl from Alabama on the Bachelorette, she’s basically said that this is what she believes in interviews.
