Have you met any local celebrities during the flood?

I use the word "celeb" here very loosely, but as I was gutting a friend's home, a Red Cross truck came down the street handing out hot meals and water. I walked outside and there was Morris Bart with a stack of meals.
Super nice guy and very friendly. I asked him how the Pelicans were going to do this year, and he said, "man, not too good."
Good times, and the roast beef was actually quite delicious.

A TV lawyer is a celeb?

Derek Todd Lee was on TV too and I didn't want to meet him.

I didn't say he was a great movie producer, but he has three credits: Factory Girl, Kill Theory, and Shooting Gallery.
Nice tax write offs for Bart.

I'd consider him a local celebrity for our area. Much like Jay Ducote as well.

I am tired of paying high insurance premiums for these 'local celebrities' stirring up little fender benders and making into a neck injury.
I don't think that's good at all for our community.

I'll never forget the time that I ran into Bill "Simple" Simon's son at a bar n grill. Meeting Brian Bailey from Scott Bailey Copiers and Blair Cottingham from United Rentals are on my bucket list.
Meeting "Baseball Donnie" from Cribbs again, would be a dream come true for me.

You just started this thread so you could say you met Morris Bart.

Yep. I'd love to meet the AutoYesClown; Johnny Crash; Dr. Plantz.
Once, Price LeBlanc game me some Country sausage.
I passed up a chance to meet John Wayne once so I could meet Lloyd McCloyd. Glad I did.

He was also in the Morgus Tv movie in the late 80's as was every other NOLA ad personality.
