Have you known anyone to go off to college and not have the time of their life?

Were they taking school too seriously?

I enjoyed college. Next few years were even better though

I enjoyed my college years but I wouldn't say I had the time of my life.

Working 40hrs a week while taking 15+ hours of classes sucked. The stuff outside of that was fun.

Yes. I had a roommate that was so focused on med school that he didn't even get laid.

One guy. A nerd in high school who thought he’d be bathing in pussy once he got to college. He couldn’t get laid in college either

Sounds great in theory but if it actually happened to you it would be pretty gross. Especially in summer.

I absolutely hated it, was miserable. That’s a reflection of me though.

Me, went on a GI bill to Auburn at 27 with a kid, most of the people annoyed me during class, had already been there done that, most college kids are there for the party, hence why we have skyrocketing tuition and resort style accomodations.

Same situation for me when I finished up at TX State a couple years ago. Almost threw fists with a couple of profs for their liberal propaganda—just ended up waking out of their lectures and/or dropping those classes. And every day the quad was overrun with sky’s screamer protests.

Yeah I worked 40+ hours a week, went to afternoon/night classes, slept 5 hours a night for 5 years if I didn't go out to bars. Nights I went out was home at 2ish, sleep till 5:30 work at 6, during the week anyway.

College mostly sucked for me. Years after college were awesome. Years building my family were even better.

Yes, without being too specific, I knew someone who suffered greatly as it turns out with clinical depression. Despite this they graduated with honor in a difficult engineering curriculum from a highly ranked engineering school. So for that person they did study all the time and work hard but I can't say they had the time of their life. There you go.

Agreed, I did night shift at Home Depot managing the stocking crew and unloading shipments. I was so sleep deprived but did enjoy the people I worked with. But damn if I didn't get any sleep.

Not complaining, just saying college was a means to an end for me, and Auburn opened up many doors for me, or maybe it was just my life experience coupled with degree. Who knows?
