Has been around since the mid-60s and was popularized in the 70s in the US Northwest and believe it to be the fastest growing sport in America

I play quite a bit. I originally bought the cheap wooden paddle set. You learn after playing many games that the wooden paddles have a lot of dead spots in them. The carbon fiber paddles are what I use now.

Yep. Just recently sold out and got myself a paddle to start playing with my friends. I also prefer singles, as it has more of a tennis feel to it.

I can’t decide if I think this sport is here to stay or is this is just a passing fad.

That's what the Baby Boomers said about racquet ball.

Stop taking up valuable front page space. Need more 2yr olds with cancer getting eaten by pit bulls.

Not sure who has had a bigger year in 2023...Pickleball, Trannies, or Taylor Swift. All 3 are having a big year.

Its a good time, we play at work. Modified rules. body shots above the elbow, above the knee = 2 points, head shot is 5. Well struck pickle/wiffle ball leaves a nasty welt. I do play, play singles and run my arse off 4 hours around 1600-2000 calories. Playing doubles is a good time if the competition is right.

Ortho docs are loving this new pickleball trend of middle age folks and their lateral motions.

Gherkins or Dills?

Where do the pickles come in? No one seems to talk about that part so I assume pretty disgusting.

Yes. I love it. My wife and I play and I often play with a group of old farts on Friday mornings if I'm not hunting/fishing.

Beats the hell out of sitting on my arse. Anything that gets folks up and moving should be encouraged nowadays.
