Yes (well, a friend's car). We went to Talladega for the race and didn't feel like staying far away from the track and having to drive over early in the morning. 8 of us slept in 2 separate cars. Woke up with the sunrise and grilled some breakfast. Not the most comfortable sleeping arrangement, but it did the job.

2 of the funniest things from the night: My buddy is a big dude (+300 lbs). He slept in the driver's seat and halfway through the night he leaned forward onto the steering wheel and honked the horn. Pure chaos for a couple seconds then we laughed our butts off.

Second thing was, a little later, a drunk dude peed on the side of the car. Then he zipped up, walked a couple feet away and went to sleep on the ground. I couldn't stop laughing. He was gone before we woke up the next morning.

Ahhhhh, good times.

Yes many times seeing shows... I fold down my back seats and roll a foam pad out. Find a national forest and just pull down a dirt road and sack out. Also during climbing trips.

I don't understand the point of this thread.

A few times. Mostly on cross country trips where I would pull over and sleep for a few hours. I did at a country music festival a few times in my younger days too. We slept in tents, but it always seemed to rain one of the days so we would sleep in our cars. We were pretty drunk at the time so it seemed comfortable.

1) Yes/No? - Yes

2) Reason: Exploration or Financial? - Both. GA/FL game in st simons. I didn't want to pay that much and decided to try sleeping in the car

3) Length of Time: Number of days/nights? - Planned for 2 nights but got lucky and found other accommodations the second night

4) Comfort: How did you make the best of it? - I was drunk so it was fine but the hotel room was better

Yes, several times.

The last time was when I was on I-20 between Meridian, MS and Tuscaloosa, AL on my way to the SEC baseball tournament.

I woke up when my tires started running over those grooves they cut into the edge of the pavement. It made a hellava roar.

Too many times.

After night shift and I couldn't make the 45 min drive home.

On the trail.

For road trips.

Being drunk....pro tip, stash your keys in the woods or somewhere. In some states just having access to your keys while sleeping it off is a DUI. I know, it's fricking stupid. A friend told me.

I took a nap in my truck yesterday. I was coming back from lunch and there was too much shite going on in the office. The sun was warm. It was nice.

I thought as long as they weren’t in the ignition you were good.

I guess every state is different

That's what he figured since he was being responsible and not driving.

Once, while in college. Was driving back from Memphis to Hattiesburg. Left Memphis at 10 pm - much later than planned, for an 8 am class. This was before cell phones were really a thing.

Getting close to Jackson, I must have fell asleep - I woke up when the car hit the rumble strip. Jolted me awake. I pulled off at the next exit and found a WalMart, pulled into the parking lot and crashed. Locked the doors but never turned the engine off. Figured I would rest for a few min, then go buy a coke and drive the rest of the way.

I awoke about 5 am to the sounds of a local police officer tapping his baton on my driver window. Apparently someone saw the car running and not moving and called it in. I thanked him for waking me up, drove to a McDonalds, waited for them to open at 530, then used the bathroom, got breakfast, and drove back to Hattiesburg. Made it back in enough time to grab my bookbag from apartment and walk into class at 802 am.

Yes in my truck, somewhat often - relatively speaking.

On a trip and its long but I don't want to get a hotel when I am alone and a few hour nap will get me through. For example, when I go to elk camp its a 16 hour drive and I leave at noon. There is a rest area with corrals for my horses so I will drive to there, put the horses in the corral and sleep in the truck.

A few hours at most. Anything more than that and I might as well get a room.

The one thing I hate about my truck, the split front bench is not flat and it is uncomfortable as hell. I usually just find a comfortable enough position and sleep an hour or so and change positions. Really thinking about a LQ horse trailer so I have a bed...

Me and a bud both proceeded to get in a fight with girlfriends on same Friday night in Greenville NC. Girls were coeds at ECU, so we just finnished off the night drunk as a skunk, kicked the seats back in my Z28 and passsd the hell out.
Next morning, hungover bigger than shite. Got at it about 9, all day binge and game that night. How the hell do I still have a liver?
