Sounds kinda like a former boss of mine. Middle aged guy when I was in my 30s, he was trying to be "a good Christian man" but stated he had a problem looking at women with lust.

Blew his mind completely when I said, "then don't look" and went on to explain to simply look past them, around them, whatever. He controls his eyes and where he sees, so stop looking.

So yeah, if ya got a problem eating too much, avoid fast food islands/clusters and bakeries like the bread factories, especially just prior to lunch/dinner rush hour when they're doing the cooking. Problem drinking? Avoid private social events till you can handle a glass of iced tea instead Long Island Tea. Etc..
