One evening after removing my watch for the day, I started spinning my it on my index finger absentmindedly.

It flew off my finger directly onto my bathroom floor with more force than if I would have thrown it on the ground.

The crystal completely shattered. Pieces of crystal were practically dust. The worst part is that I had just gotten it back from being cleaned and serviced. It had to be completely cleaned and serviced again, in addition to the replacement cost of the crystal.

Yep, i wear mine daily. I’ve had the bezel and crystal replaced once, but i’m not too worried about it anymore. May do it one more time before i pass it to my son. GMT master ii

Got my Sub brand new. All the scratches and scuffs are mine and I’m fine with that. I wear it and don’t leave it in my drawer.

Have you ever really worn your watch if you don’t have scratches on it?

Wearing it over a sweater is certainly a choice.

I've broken the internals of every seiko I've ever bought, bought an omega because I was led to believe they were beefier... Nope.

I have a tendency to use my palm or hammer fist as an actual... Hammer. Mechanical watches don't like that.

Mine invariably end up looking like they've seen combat. They are cooler that way.
