Race is a social construct with no basis in anything other than social expectations and physical characteristics with no basis in biology. Hopefully people are attracted to their own species and only date within that species...race is biologically ambiguous, has no true meaning and therefore has no role in attraction. One can attracted by blonde hair and blue eyes while sickened by brown eyes and dark hair....this too is most likely a social construct or could simply be the way some people are wired but it has NOTHING to do with the other person, they are simply a human with some physical traits one finds attractive or not.

That said I have dated black women, a woman whose family was from India, Hispanic women...all manner of physical traits that are associated with race. I am married to what most people would consider a white woman but she is a second generation Italian American and when her grandparents immigrated to the US prior to WW2 they were not considered white because they were Italian. Nationality, nation of birth, absolutely has zilch to do with race, but in the 1930s it was indeed used to classify immigrants.


Gender is also as social construct. Biological sex is a fact that can't be denied, race and gender are both assigned to us by society based on physical traits and societal expectations. There is obviously a biological difference between biological males and biological women, there is nothing biological about the terms men and women anymore than there is about the terms white and black. You can test for biological sex and will find a conclusive answer, there is no such test for race nor gender.
