I go to my parents house on Sundays and leave my phone at home. Just spend the day watching football with my pops and playing with dogs outside while my wife and mom cook and gossip.

I look forward to it every week and it is a refreshing feeling.

Don’t get salty. Lots of great secretaries out there. I’d be lost for at least a day without mine

Never to break dependance on technology, but to break my annoyance with other people, yes.

Personal top 3 example of what I mean..condensed version.

When I still lived in the Bywater in the early 2000s, one morning there is knock on my door..SO at the time answers and seems puzzled from what I overhear in the kitchen (shotgun house). So, with a slice of cold pizza in hand I go to see what's up. Well its 3 young dudes ive never met, they are in DIY black metal shirts, a demo (cassette) in hand they want to discuss music with me. As the conversation progressed on my doorstep I learned that they wanted to work with me on their project and apparently had quick access to a stay dog nearby to sacrifice to commemorate the moment if I agreed.

I listened to their demo after they left, it wasnt anything special. I still have it somewhere in louisiana, I've often thought about finally calling the number that was on it and being like, "I think I've made up my mind on it..Let's fricking do it".

Me and a cousin have a little cabin on a lake in Arkansas. There is no cell service, tv or internet. I've stayed there for a month before fishing and hunting without leaving. I'd show up with a few sacks of potatoes and a lot of beer. I'm not single anymore so I cant do that but dang, it was nice.

Stray? They were going to sacrifice a stray dog if you agreed to work with them? Sick fricks.

I isolate and sit on my hand until it falls asleep so it feels like a stranger is stroking me off.

I spent two days on an oyster bed with a tarp and some fishing gear when the boat took on water east of Atchafalaya delta in 2001. Of course it rained. Isolation freaking sucks...I never want to be technology free again. Today we could have just called, text, or emailed someone for help. LOL. Boy times have changed.

Is your name Clint? I read your username as SE-Clint rather than SEC-lint. I ask because it's hard to rectify a name like Clint with this left-hand path stuff.
