Why don't we call people who own a home "homewith?"

Yes. I slept in my truck for four months and thought it couldn't get any worse and then I lost my truck. Once you get to the lowest you can go it becomes the daily struggle to survive. This consumes all of your time so without help it is next to impossible to get back on your feet.

You know that point in your life when you realize the house you grew up in isn't really your home anymore? All of a sudden even though you have some place where you put your shite, that idea of home is gone.

I have never not had a home, but I'm also an excellent decision maker.

Yep. I guess technically I'm homeless right now, since I live out of a suitcase and in a hotel room. Closest thing to home is my parent's house.

Technically I was for 2 days. When I moved to BR at first, my lease didn't start until the Monday, which was the 1st of the month. That was going to suck because my lease at the old place ended on Sat and they would only let me renew for 6 mos minimum. I had to get out so I was going to have to pack a truck and just hold my stuff in it until Monday.
The new complex called me the week before and said the apartment had been vacated and I could move in on Sat (for free), so I did. See, for Sat and Sun I technically had no real home.

I am still recovering. I was making over a hundred grand a year. I make a fraction of that now. If my health holds up I hope to get back up to that level again.

Good luck bro. I can understand and relate. I've had a lot of uncertainty in my life over the last 5 years or so.

Paging SS to the white courtesy phone...

During my teen years I bounced around a lot. My grand mother died when I was 14 and after that I'd stay in one place a bit and then move on to the next. From the midway point of my 9th grade year until I graduated, I moved schools like 7 times and lives with 6 different people or families and made it all the way from Alabama to Alaska and back. Often times I'd spend anywhere from a few days to a few weeks living on the streets when I would be in between places.

My lease was up on my apartment so I moved in with my girlfriend because we were always sleeping at each other's house anyway, right? Why not share the bills for one place instead of two, right? What the frick could go wrong?
Well, we broke up and I was then homeless. Crashed with a co-worker for two weeks then moved into a friend's basement for four months.
I am now married to the girl who broke up with me. Been together 10 years.
