A few times as a juvenile. Never as an adult.

Yup. Insurance company alleged I helped a client commit fraud. Pure bullshite, particularly since the client I “assisted” was never charged with anything—even after we identified yet another time she had committed insurance fraud in a similar incident.
Anyway, I had a heads up that they wanted me, so I had my lawyer turn me in at LSP, and they transferred me over to EBR Parish Prison. We did everything to keep the situation on the DL, but those frickers at LSP notified the media and then perp walked my arse out of the building past a half dozen reporters.
Then, we were supposed to have everything related to my bond in place, but EBR mishandled the paperwork, and I ended up staying in a cell with some bad mofos for several hours while my lawyer worked out my bond.
I love this country, and I’m MAGA as frick, but our criminal justice system has some serious flaws.

I got arrested for a criminal fleeing charge. Went to jail for about 5 minutes, had peanut butter chocolate chip cookies with the sherriff and then bailed out and went back to work. Pretty easy day

SR year me and few friends threw a keg party in the woods behind his house. About 5 of us chipped in and got like 10 kegs and tons of other booze.
We invited the whole school. It was the was the worst kept secret in the world. About 200-300 people showed up and eventually the cops. I escaped through the woods and had to walk several miles to another friend's house. Two of my buddies got charged with 300 counts of contributing to minors though.
We found so much weed, pills etc on the ground the next day cleaning up

Who hasnt?
If you live in louisiana it's just a matter of time. Till either you do something major or minor, or if the cops are just bored that day.

So you think wearing a jacket and shorts warrants an officer of the law detaining a citizen and searching his person, even after permission had been denied explicitly?

No, but I’ve seen people arrested on TV

I'm from the Police State of Louisiana.
Youd have to try hard to not be arrested at least once in your life here.
I've been arrested 3 times. Twice as a juvenile and once as an adult.
I've been illegally searched more times than I can count. Even under protest and of course under duress. The concept of probable cause is lost on the residents of Louisiana. "The ends justify the means" is a poisoned well.
It’s very easy to not get arrested. I feel like out of all the situations listed above, you’re failing to recognize the common denominator.

Teach him how to be a good little boy like you.
