Yeah, but was a painful experience that in many ways traumatized me.

Which has absolutely nothing with saying no to being in someone else's wedding, numbnuts.

Our band was more than that. Do you really think $20k buys a dream wedding?

Yes. Being in a wedding is awesome. I like when people value my friendship. Its a reflection of you as a person.

You.....suck.

No, I'm exaggerating.

But $20k is not some dream wedding. Venues alone in Dallas are $10k+

Mine was around $7k 10 years ago. I’m guessing they’re north of $10k now.

Cousin’s wedding band (12 members + 2 techs) was around $16k in ATL a few years ago. They were damn good too.

We had a damn good band for around 6500 IIRC. They haven't spiked north of 10k yet.

Yea, $20k for a total budget isn't getting you anything fancy here either.

If you don't want to participate don't.
I feel same way so I just don't.

You've told a friend "no, I don't want to be in your wedding"?

Seems like a defense mechanism for never being asked.

In northern Ohio it does. We don't have major cities around our area. Closest one is an hour away.

The constant need to out-cheap each other on the internet when it comes to weddings is the weirdest phenomenon.
