Have we started seeing data from after the mask EOs?

Surely by now with the mask mandates, we have data rolling in on how cases have plummeted in those communities? Right?

We gotta wait two more weeks

Go to larger northeast cities (NYC/DC) and see the difference in mask wearing.
Granted they haven't reopened to the levels as in the south, their cases are way lower.

After 14 days should start seeing some lower rates of exponential spreading

I know ebrs just started but wasn’t areas like Houston and nola way before?

Causation v. correlation. I don't know if there is any way to conclusively determine what effect mask wearing had. Or even the level of "mask wearing" in one place compare to another.

If mask wearing was such a no braoner the "experts" would have been pounding the table from day 1. The fact is that masks are a government control device and nothing more.

Those places also have 20-30% of the population already cleared of the virus

Mandated wearing the mask is just a way for the companies that made all of the damn things can get rid of them. When you couldn't get one it wasn't a problem, now that the country is flooded everyone needs to wear one. Next they will be telling you that you must have a new mask everyday.

Abbott took the teeth out of Bexar, Travis, Harris, and Dallas counties mask orders immediately. Now he's getting pissy that counties aren't enforcing his order.

There are a lot of variables to account for. I assume people in those communities would take fewer risks. You’d see more hand washing for example. But living in a city would dramatically increase the odds of exposure.
Then again, the virus is likely to wash through a city more quickly. And do it should die off in those communities more quickly.

I agree with you, you crazy mofo

We will always be two weeks away from being able to make a determination regarding this virus. Always. It has been that way from the beginning.

The EBR mandate was July 2 if I'm not mistaken. So around July 16. It'll be interesting.

Cities will see the virus burn out much more quickly than less-dense areas, just as the cities saw their cases explode much more quickly than less-dense areas. Common sense/
Also, when things open up, there will unequivocally be an increase in the rate of spreading in that area, no matter where or when said "reopening" occurs. Also common sense.

Idol but I went into a store today that had a sign that said “masks are expected”. I walked right in and two masked employees told me hi and nothing else. Less than half of customers had one on.
Do I feel bad? Yeah a little bit they had the right to ask me to leave. And I would have without argument.

Here’s the problem with the mask wearing shite. I frequent multiple businesses from Slidell to Baton Rouge for work. Before the mask mandate I was aware not to touch my face and use alcohol on my hands frequently throughout the day.
Now, I have a big beard so putting on this stupid mask and then leaving a business taking it off I naturally run my fingers through my beard so I don’t look unkept. Then I’m like, frick I just touched my face. Not only touched, I groomed that shite all into my face so whatever I did touch is now all up in the danger zone. Not only that, fiddling with the stupid mask so it doesn’t rise up into my eyes I’m also putting my hands on my face.
So what the frick is it? Wash your hands, don’t touch your face, do jumping jacks all while fricking with this stupid mask on my damn face?

Of all the things you could be, why do you choose to be a dick?
