I don’t mind the fact that kids appreciate having dolls that look more like them racially. Fat dolls and religiously-inspired dolls are a little much but whatev. We will see if they actually sell

I’m more taken aback by the fact that all of these self-described “empowered” women constantly portray themselves as victims in need of special treatment.

You don’t seem very empowered. You seem weak and entitled and whiny.

If you want it to be, however it is more of a likeness discussion and Mattel also moving away from this

Another way for Mattel to make more money. Why is this a big deal?

I don’t get the entire fat acceptance movement as a whole.

These human hippos with purple armpit hair and BBQ sauce stains on their XXXL t-shirts portray themselves as this minority victimized class, and yet overweight people are in the majority.

It’s not like we have a bunch of skinny citizens being so petrified of becoming fat and marginalized that they starve themselves unhealthily to the point that we need some acceptance movement to help them.

It’s quite the opposite. Clearly obesity is accepted in America. Almost everybody is fat as frick.

We should be pushing the opposite way.

That's interesting and a wide selection of historical and culturally relevant women.

However, you know why little girls like Barbie? They like to dress up the doll in pink outfits and brush her hair and drive around in a pink Corvette.

So while these are interesting and adult Barbie collectors will jump all over these, the little girls of the world will still be flocking to buy regular old pink Barbie.

These are pretty badass for girls. Finally when Ken gets abusive, Barbie has some friends that can give him a blackeye for once.
