Have any of you tried to buy weight equipment recently?

Good grief.... talk about supply and demand driving up the costs.... can’t buy an Olympic weight set and adjustable bench and those that are on back order are listed at ungodly prices. Guess I’ll be risking the plague by returning to lifetime once it reopens...

I think all exercise equipment is in high demand. We waited over a month for our Bowflex cycle.

Wait a month. Save your money. shite will be being sold at every yard sale and Craigslist ad around. People who never went to the gym before all this were buying up shite like they just made a New Year's resolution they had no real intention of keeping.

Do like the guys in jail and put some books in a laundry bag. All the OG’s are doing it.

All Rocky needed was some open land, some logs, some rocks to throw around, and a chicken to chase.

Good enough for Rocky, good enough for you.

Bought my son a flat weight bench for his birthday, and none of the American companies had stock. Has to get something made in China.

Ended up with this from Marcy:

People been trying to buy it and sell it for double, just like the hand sanitizer douche. Other people see it as an opportunity to frick people on shite they would've given away 2 months ago. You just have to wait and buy it at a deal as stated.

I had been putting off buying a rower and a pair of 50lb dumbbells. When all the bullshite goes away I'll fix that. Fortunately I had a squat rack and around 400lbs of weight so I've been able to train at home.

So.... Those styrofoam 100 lb-ish weights with the free butt plugs are not quite what you expected?

A few days of wrestling with tractor implements, hoeing peas and corn, not to mention picking and processing all the produce, felling bucking and splitting firewood, clearing brush etc. will have you forgetting about them fancy, smancy weight sets. Yes. I was just out in front of this ordering some home equipment but had an Amazon seller not ship a weight set I had ordered. They had to refund my purchase but I know the a-hole relisted it for double the original price. I guess I was lucky getting most of the stuff I ordered at all

Yes it's ridiculous, I need a couple of pairs of bumper plates to continue my own meager efforts but they are nowhere to be found, except for assholes asking $150+ for a pair of 10# on eBay, no telling what for 45. Screw 'em. I'll wait till I see some cheap on Craigslist or Facebook.
