..or any Corvid for that matter.

I'm not talking about domesticated birds, but you can include stories of that nature as well.

I know that Crows in particular can be social with humans. Just curious to see if any of you baws have ever had a Crow that was a bro.

Fun Fact: Studies have shown that Ravens have intelligence levels rivaling that of Cetaceans and Great Apes... Some academics believe them to be the smartest animal on Earth.

When I get to work early I put crow feeding calls on my phone and play it over the radio. I confuse the hell out of them.

Today I found a bird nesting in my hanging Burro's tail. I said "hell no" and walking right up to it and said "go"! with my face about 12 inches from the bird.

The bird just looked at me and didnt budge. I said "you win". Im not sure if thats bonding, but I respected the nerve of that bird.

Yes I have by feeding them in the winter. They've left me gifts in the feeding spot.

One or more of them will follow me around the neighborhood when driving.

Words cannot describe how beautiful it is to witness.

I am part of their Murder...

More than a time or two. A lot of folks don't even realize Old Crow 100 is bottled in bond.

It only lasted about 5 minutes total but i hooted at a crow that was close and I feel like we had a serious conversation for a minute there.

Pawpaw used to say crows were smarter than half the people. He was probably right.

My wife thinks I’m kidding or crazy, but this has been on my list for a while. We live in deep large protected forest among an abundance of corvids including a lot of jays, and huge pileated woodpeckers, and raptors, plus turkeys and vultures/ buzzards.

I have befriended some with my routine. They don’t startle when they see me. The whippoorwills don’t care at all but they seem kinda dumb.

I’m going to take the next step once I figure out what that is.
(We have magpies all over our yard in Montana. They f with the dogs mercilessly. I’ve watched them plot against them and steal their food in the deck. They sit in the tree above it and have flankers all around the yard.)

A little off-topic since these are raptors but Caesar’s Head is the view from our house.

I also feed the blue jays. They are much more trusting. They are awesome little birds.

They have two (2) different calls. One is like a crow's caw but higher pitched. The other is a two-toned, melodic chirp.

I like to mimic the chirp by whistling it and go back and forth with them. Wild.

Country is sittin' on the back porch
Listen to the whippoorwills late in the day
Country is mindin' your business
Helpin' a stranger if he comes your way

I do this too. Some birds sound almost electronic and mechanical if you listen for too long. Which leads me to the obvious conclusion that they aren’t real.

Obviously not. This is common knowledge these days I believe.
