Or maybe there is a solution somewhere other than tent cities and your emotionally laden reference to concentration camps. Take Coronado, California, for example. Never heard of them? Wonder why.

quote:

Coronado Mayor Richard Bailey says his city is tough on homelessness, and the latest data reflects it, showing the count is zero there.

quote:

"We have to at least come to an understanding that the policies that have been in place region-wide, and also throughout the state of California, have really failed the homeless population and they’ve also failed the surrounding communities"

quote:

Bailey believes his three-step approach could be used in other areas, and that geography isn’t one of the solutions. Those steps include:

Starting to use real-time data to show where shelter beds are available so the homeless can be pointed in the direction of the correct services

Having elected leaders vote on policies that require treatment services to get into shelters

Proactive law enforcement. Bailey said Coronado police will intervene if someone is setting up an encampment or using drugs in public.

No concentration camps to be found there.

Of course advocates for the homeless will say that can't possibly work because it's mean. Come up with a better solution, then. Hint: Nothing other cities have tried has worked.

My solution is to bus or fly them to Canada. Canada has more of a nanny state system than the USA and their government is more efficient than the USA’s when it comes to making sure people actually get help. Plus there is a lot of empty land in Canada for them to camp and use drugs if they are just wanting their next hit instead of actual help.

We need Joe Arpaio-style tent cities out in Hudspeth County for these people. We can even throw in free dope until they inevitably overdose. I'm past the point of giving a shite about them.

The new immigrants will get their share of money as long as they keep voting Dems. Dems say hell with our own homeless and vets that are not making it. They rather give benefits to people who don't deserve it. AND, those young women crying on social media that they can't make it will STILL VOTE DEM.

Take Back the Streets: Get Rid of the Bums. Again: unleash the cops to clear the streets of bums and vagrants. Where will they go? Who cares? Hopefully, they will disappear, that is, move from the ranks of the petted and cosseted bum class to the ranks of the productive members of society.

If that is the case it’s taken out a lot of innocents that aren’t homeless or even drug addicts.

Take all of the money currently being spent on homeless programs and build a city in the desert away from everybody to house the homeless. Make everything free and legal, drugs, alcohol, etc so that they will stay. Provide daily food and other necessities. Bums are happy with free booze and drugs. Cities are happy to have them off the streets. Win-Win.

Sounds similar to my buddies idea for gay people. Ship them all to an island and let them go wild but no coming to the mainland!

I like this homeless idea personally

My buddy lives a block from Minute Maid. I was there 2 years ago and it was fine. Wtf happened?

We literally walked to his place from midtown at 2am and I don’t remember seeing many homeless.

Probably wouldn’t have a real effect. Most people that get abortions are black and most homeless are not black. The real issue is that many of these homeless come from regular backgrounds, even middle or upper class areas and then they turn into drug addicts that shite and sleep and shoot up on the street. Which is, of course, the real issue. Why is this happening?

Also they can literally walk into a store in Canada and buy any drug they desire. Ship the homeless to Canada is not a bad idea.

One of the big problems is a lot of these addicts, and people who have trouble functioning in society used to be able to at least afford at least a shithole apartment on very little money. Now cost of living is so damn expensive, that really isn't possible anymore for a lot of these people.

We have glamorized the most derelict members of society. They used to be bums and vagrants, now they are "the homeless." Because we tolerate down and out scum, they have grown in numbers to the point where there is no solution.

We won't address problems when they are small (fatherless kids, kids having kids, the border, etc.) and then they become such a big problem that there is no fix.

Let them all go to the liberal cities like they have been doing. They’ll destroy the cities and run the tax base off that pays the bills like in San Fran. Then those cities will go under and fall apart. Then and ONLY then can the liberal UTOPIA be realized.
