Has it become more socially acceptable to be fat than it is to be skinny?

IMO yes- It's far more likely that someone to be made fun of for being too skinny than to be made fun of for being overweight. For example celebrated fat women Lizzo's lyrics are full of rhymes making fun of healthy people for being boring/less attractive. It really is ironic that this is the case because this whole fat acceptance movement was built on the bedrock of not hurting anyone's feelings for not being able to put down the fork. Now they're the ones hurling the insults.. What say you baws?

IMHO youre making a stretch......I've not seen anyone being made fun of for being healthy/in shape.

Do the vocal fatties bark at which they fear? Yes, but who cares?

ETA: our teens HS (The Woodlands) is actually pretty refreshing. The bulk of the student body leans to the healthy image. Its crazy. All of our boys are in shape and we've allowed them latitude to chose food items within reason. For example, dining out, they order water and never order soft drinks (all on their own).

Much of the time, the skip breakfast as they dont feel its needed.

Naw.

I'm 6'2" 227 (has dropped some) and not a fatty, but I am now of the mindset to get to 205......my 7th grade weight

Time to get prepared as I am on the other side of 50.

What? no

Lizzo may be celebrated, but I guarantee there is still way more fat-shaming than skinny-shaming going on out there.

It's still more acceptable to be skinny, but fat people are striking back and attacking skinny people now, when they didn't really before.

1 - Yeah. I'm 6'4" 190. Or as I like to call it, healthy. I get endless commentary on how I need to eat more and how skinny I am. Now lets not even talk about the fact that I eat like a cow because I cycle 200 miles a week.

2 - You listen to Lizzo? For serious?
