What company charges $75 to jump people off? Is there a great demand for this? That seems like a decent side business to start up. Low cost, you might get 2 or 3 calls a week, but its extra money.

The only towing company that is authorized to enter the garage at my apartment complex. It's retarded. I am guessing thats how it works, the real estate companies contract certain tow companies and only let them be allowed to work the area, kind of like how unions do it. No doubt kickbacks are exchanged, hence the high prices.

Why not spend the 2 bucks a month on roadside assistance?

You couldn't find someone to jump your car for free in 24 hours?

ETA: If this isn't a completely made up story with the purpose of seeking attention, that's honesty pretty sad. No gf. No friends. Too intimidated to ask a stranger.

You sure? What if I use my roadside and they don't contract with said towing company?

Buy one of these and stick it in your bag or briefcase or whatever.

LINK

It WILL jump start your car. My son left a light on in my car and it jumps started it no problem. Along with this it will charge up a phone or Ipad easily too. I've had mine for about 2 years and it goes everywhere I do.

Don't you have this kind of coverage on your car insurance? I know many policies do. Also, I have two credit cards that I know of and probably more that have roadside assistance as a perk as well. I can just call the number on the back of my Amex and they'll send someone. Maybe an option?

Who calls the tow company because their battery died? I bet you take your car to the dealership for wiper blades.
