Also, it's worth pointing out. The OT did this, not that shite arse Facebook.
Yup. I was on another forum that had several similar recoveries. The scummy media heard about it, the website owners embraced the attention, and the entire forum went to crap shortly thereafter.

Who’s a good boy!?! Nice work, OT.

Special thanks to JodyPlauche, Cootkilla, Americangirl and the two who actually went out and searched, Proximo and swagga. If I missed somebody, chime in.

This experience has changed me a little bit. I'm a little different now.
*** you forgot yourself Pandy Fackler
I started a thread and put out some dog food. They and some others did the real work.

I’ve been rooting for Rico in the background. So happy he’s home.
It was clear early on in the thread that the OT-Lounge would not accept defeat here. fricking legendary. Well done, everyone. Geaux Rico!

Just shot you an email, I want in on this.
I have two German shepherd/collie mixes that are brother and sister from the same litter, approaching 2 years old now but still very much puppies. Rico's eyes and face remind me so much of them, it makes me realize how much of a mess I would be if we lost one of them in these circumstances.
Everyone involved here did such an amazing thing, giving their time and sacrificing their possible safety in that area looking for him. Special shout-out to Insee getting his buddy to bring the infrared drone, that accomplishment has flown under the radar here a little but deserves some huge props and thank-yous
This thread was awesome and has reminded me what the OT (and southern hospitality in general) is all about, I read it from beginning to end and it's made my whole week.
Thank you to everyone involved in rescuing this pup, I think I'll have to root for LSU against Bama a little more tomorrow

What an amazing conclusion. So glad he was found safe and this story had a happy ending.

What a great thread from start to finish. Man we had armed groups going out there and infrared drones looking for some dog that wasnt even an Oters. Freaking awesome

I'm 99.9% sure it is Rico

What the folks in this thread did is so much more than just finding a lost pup, which is an awesome thing itself.
Thank you OT.

So I just read all of this and got caught up. I'm sitting here at work with tears in my eyes. My family and I just lost our English Bulldog, Khan, on Sunday night. He was with us for only 8 years and he left this world too soon. It's been a brutal week, coming home and him not greeting me. I'm so happy that this story has a happy ending. Sending my donation now.

Thoughts are with all who have lost a beloved companion. This story is truly remarkable. James is gonna hug Rico a little tighter now. I hope, James, that you make a full and speedy recovery, and that Rico's PTSD wanes. Just the look in Proximo's pup's eyes said everything about the area - "Uh Dad, not a good place, not a good place at ALL." Well done to all that helped physically and electronically. Y'all are awesome.
