This is the best thing I've seen in a long, long time. I don't know Rico or his owner, but I drove in the area yesterday evening looking (unsuccessfully) because of this thread. Thank you to all who made the mission a success... and who did his/her part in restoring people's faith in the good in folks.

Dogs are awesome. My wife and I went to a cabin about 4 hours away several years ago and the neighbors were gonna let the dogs out, feed them, etc while we were gone. My dog freaks out whenever I leave. The first time the neighbors came in to tend to them, my dog boots out the door, presumably trying to find me. I’m about to turn around and go all the way back home. The neighbor’s kids formed a posse of kids on bikes searching all over. I’m freaking out….then the neighbors get back to our house and my dog is back and just laying down where I usually park my car.
