Has anyone here used telemedicine like Teladoc for sickness and not dick pills?

How was your experience? Did the doc speak English well? Any problems with Rx?

All of our Orthopods are clamoring to get this started as numbers coming to the office are dimishing.

No, but I did buy a chunk of their stock when the market opened yesterday. I like their business model for this kind of crisis of economy; hopefully the service works.

Mine did back when we used them last year. No problem with prescriptions either. They actually sent them to the pharmacy unlike my local doctor's office. They always SAY they're going to send it but never do.

I've used it a couple of times for my kid's antibiotics. She used to have ear infections all the time when she was little. $10 fee vs $35 doctor visit. Seemed pretty simple. quick talk with a doctor and he send in the script.

I use it, we have BC/BS of Texas for Insurance and they have the service, I think it's $10.00.
Last time I used it they took about 20 minutes to call me, a five minute review of symptoms and called in an antibiotic to my pharmacy.

looking at some telemedicine companies but don't know what kind of experience it is for someone calling in. This crisis will push people to use it more and become more acceptable in the future. Just wondering what the experience is like since I have never used it.

Yep, I used Roman for non-dick pills. It was easy, they bill insurance and now I have a steady supply of meds. No going to the doctor for refills every time. Great experience.

Yes, I have One Medical for my PCP and their telemedicine system is great. Had them order an xray for me when I couldn't get an appointment with my PCP and didn't want to wait in line at the ER. Was seamless and easy. For most minor issues there is no need to see someone in person.

I know they handle colds, etc. but can they diagnose and prescribe for stuff like sports injuries/broken bones, high blood pressure, mental issues?

Yes. It depends on what peripherals are added (stethoscope, heart rate monitor, otoscope, etc) We always recommend having a PTZ (point, tilt, zoom) camera so that the provider can have a visual as well.

Used it several times. Works great and fast. Although, I imaging now there are many more people using it so it may not be as smooth and fast but still a better option for minor illnesses and problems than going into a Dr's office.
