Has anyone here tried entering into a fighting competition?

I watched that UFC movie with Kevin James where he gets the shite kicked out of him to raise money for a band or something. It made me realize that I could use some extra money and I’m willing to fight some baws in a prize fight for some petty cash. Has anyone ever tried this? I’m thinking I could hold my own ( I am 35 years old, 3”5, 350 pounds) and I’m willing to check knuckles. Curious to know if anyone else has done it

I went to Hong Kong with one goal: to prove myself in the Kumite, the underground, no-holds-barred martial arts tournament that few even knew existed. Getting in wasn’t easy, the world of the Kumite was hidden, secretive, and dangerous. At the same time, I had to stay one step ahead of the military officers trying to drag me back for being AWOL.
The training pushed me harder than anything I had faced before, but it prepared me for what was coming. In the middle of it all, I even found myself drawn to Janice, a journalist who saw through the chaos to the fighter I was trying to be.
In the end, I was given the chance to fight in the Kumite. The question was never just about winning, it was about whether I would survive.

I wanted to get involved in cock fighting.
then I found out they meant roosters.
3 years of training wasted.

I’m talking about a legit fight, UFC style in the Baton Rouge area. I would train and get Chicken to sponsor me
